Monitoring of Temperatures of Groceries in Food Vans

Temperature measuring of packed groceries transported in regular food vans to customers. Temperature level guarding and SMS alarm sending. Special HW desing for customer demands - with built-in rechargeable accumulator.

Main goal of the application is to monitor temperature of groceries in food vans. Each unit consists of BaWiTu –E, accumulator and temperature sensor. Bawit –E is primarily powered from accumulator and backed up with internal battery. Switch on the right side is used to toggle between operational and sleep mode. During operational mode, BaWiT measures and sends data with regard to time schedules. In sleep mode BaWiT saves power and this mode is also for charging the accumulator. BaWiT –E is located inside of a bigger box that its display is visible from outside. Display shows last measured values and switch state. Measured temperature is guarded and if temperature exceeds +5°C then SMS alarm is being sent to authorized phone numbers.

BaWiT's archive can keep up to 10000 measured values. Temperature measurement occurs every 30 seconds and data are being sent to server every 15 minutes. These default settings can be modified. Time schedules are being followed only in operationl mode. Web page www.BaWiT.eu shows all temperatures.
